AIC has successfully completed its IB 5 years review

AIC已完成了IB文凭课程每5年进行一次审核评估的要求,并符合IBO的要求。在IB审核报告中,我们已经达到了IB所有审核领域的要求。该报告强调,AIC的IBDP课程与IB的课程标准和要求紧密结合。

AIC has completed the IB Diploma Program evaluation process, which is required and carried out by the IBO every 5 years. We have met all IB requirements and beyond for all areas of review, as shown in the IB 5-year review report. It is emphasized in the report that AIC’s implementation of IBDP programme shows close alignment with the IB Programme standards and practices.

整个审核过程需要学校领导、教师、学生和家长耗费大量时间和精力。这个审核确保学校的IBDP项目能够实现IB使命,并确保学校严格执行IB学校的教学和学习的高标准,从而帮助学生取得最佳成绩。作为一所IB世界学校,AIC必须满足众多IB的要求,例如:接受IB培训的合格教师、能满足众多学生需求的严格IB课程,并确保学生的福祉等。

The entire review process requires considerable time and effort from the school community, which involves school leaders, teachers, students, parents, and community members. This process ensures that IBDP programs at schools, such as AIC, lead to the achievement of the IB mission and help the school maintain a certain standard that comes with the rigors of teaching and learning at an IB school. It also helps schools achieve the optimum outcomes for students. Being an IB world school, AIC has to meet a wide range of IB requirements, such as qualified teachers with IB training, rigorous IB progammes to meet the needs of our student body, and ensuring the students’ welfare, etc.

AIC的自我审核过程于2020年开始,于2022年完成。IB的自我审核与自我评价过程分为两个阶段:

The AIC self-study process began in 2020 and was completed in 2022. IB study and evaluation took place in two stages: preliminary stage where school documents are assessed and the next step which involved teams of the school self-study and meetings with school leaders. We received an initial email from IB with a congratulatory note on April 26, 2023, followed by a meeting to go over the content of the report with the Diploma Coordinator and the Head of School.

The IB self-study is divided into 4 parts: purpose, culture, learning and environment.Along with the self-study, schools are expected to submitted a program development plan (PDP) which aims at identifying an issue of importance to commit to and in so do help improve the school’s DP program.

Program Development Plan

The school has identified developing online resources as an important area of programme development. The programme development plan has had a range of positive impacts on the students" experience of the Diploma Program. Students" feedback indicated they feel better supported in language acquisition and practice as well as in IB assessments. Students selfreported that they are more confident in pacing their own learning, and becoming more independent and active in their own learning.
